Angela Yesenia Olaya Requene holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. She is a research associate in Harvard University’s  Afro-Latin American Research Institute (ALARI), and the academic coordinator of the Centtificate in Afro-Latin American Studies organized by ALARI. defDaniel Alejandro Martínez is a sonsoneño trained at Harvard in Social Sciences and Philosophy. Fellow of the Gates Millennium Scholarship and Michael C. Rockefeller Memorial Fellowship. He is currently traveling the Brazilian Amazon working with social projects on education, health, and environmental conservation.
